Research Assistant
Evelyn Gamez-Gómez is a third-year undergraduate student at UNC Chapel Hill majoring in Public Policy and Medical Anthropology, with a Spanish minor for the professions.
Her research focuses on health policy and outcomes for marginalized and underserved communities. This interest aligns with the complex healthcare challenges faced by migrant farmworkers, including issues of access, environmental exposure, and health equity. In her work, she applies her policy and research skills to investigate health disparities and advocate for better access to care for all. Evelyn’s focus on medically underserved populations and her proficiency in Spanish are particularly relevant to the field of migrant farmworker health.
